RULES AND REGULATIONS

Following are the Rules and Regulations for "[V] speak Samsung Galaxy Y contest" ("Contest") which will be held on Channel [V] ("Channel"):

Principal Rules:
1. The Contest will be based on the content shown on [V] speak which will air on 31st December, 2011.The Contest shall commence from 31st December, 2011 at 21:00 hours Indian Standard Time (IST) and shall conclude on 14th January, 2012 at 23:59 hours IST ("Period") on the Channel.
2. The Contest Rules and Regulations will be placed online on the Channel’s website at www.channelv.in/tnc.php which shall state the details for participation.
3. For participating in the Contest, the participant(s) needs to watch the on-air contest slate which will be aired on the Channel and answer a multiple choice question which is flashed on the screen at the end of the on-air contest spot, by sending an SMS with the correct answer in the following manner:
SGY followed by <space> followed by the answer with the correct option A/B/C to 57827 within the Period
4. All the entries should be sent during the Period of the Contest only. Answers sent after the Period as stated in these Rules and Regulations shall not be considered and shall be null and void.
5. The cost of the SMS shall be solely borne by the participant(s). The cost of each SMS shall be charged by the respective telecom/mobile operators at rate stated below:

6. The cost of each SMS shall be charged by the respective mobile operators. Star India Private Limited ("STAR India") and/or the Channel shall not be responsible in case of any network problem resulting in delay in receipt of messages by STAR India or by the Channel for the costs charged by the mobile operator or for any other problem related to the services provided by the mobile operators whatsoever. Any dispute in connection to the same should be settled directly between the subscriber and the mobile operator without involving STAR India and/or the Channel.
7. In case of telecom, network failure and/or any other reason, STAR India and/or the Channel reserves the right to change the mechanism or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.
8. Upon the participant sending in their answer(s), the number from which the participant has answered would get registered with the respective network provider. In the event, the mobile number (from which the SMS is sent) is not registered in the participant’s name, the participant(s) must submit a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) from the person in whose name the mobile number or the telephone number is registered to STAR India and/or the Channel. If the participant cannot submit a NOC in the given time, STAR India and/or the Channel shall be entitled to forfeit that entry for the Contest.
9. At the end of the Period, Star India and/or the Channel will by a process of random selection select 15 (fifteen) participant(s) from amongst the participant(s) who have given the correct answer ("Shortlisted Participants").
10. Out of the 15 (fifteen) Shortlisted Participants, 2 (two) winners ("Winner(s)") shall be selected at the sole discretion of STAR India and/or the Channel to win the Samsung Galaxy Y phone ("Prize").
11. Within 7 (seven) days from the close of the Contest, the Winners shall be intimated by the Channel via a phone call on the phone number registered by the network provider at the time of messaging the answer for the purposes of the Contest and shall be informed that they are eligible for the Prize. The call made by the Channel shall have instructions on the further process required to be adhered to by the Winner(s). In the event the Winner(s) fails to adhere to the instructions, that Winner’s selection shall be invalidated and the Channel shall not be liable to that Winner(s) in any manner whatsoever and the Channel reserves the right to select another Winner(s).
12. The Channel shall attempt to call the Winner(s) twice. The Channel or STAR India shall not be responsible if the Winner(s) is not available at the phone number registered with the network provider and as a result of which, the Winner(s) loses his/ her chance to receive the Prize.
13. The Channel reserves the rights to decide the Winners of the Contest. STAR India and/or the Channel reserve the right to disqualify any participant(s) from participating in the Contest without assigning any reason. The decision of STAR India and/or the Channel in this regard shall be binding upon the participant(s).
14. STAR India and/or the Channel shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever in connection to any disputes with regard to the Prize.
15. By participating in the Contest(s), it shall be construed that the Winner(s) has waived his/her right to raise any dispute with regard to the Contest and/or in any manner whatsoever in connection to the Prize.
16. All and any incidental costs, taxes direct and/or indirect, in relation to the Prize, shall be borne by the Winners and in no manner whatsoever shall the Channel/STAR India be responsible for the same.
17. By participating in the Contest, it shall be construed by STAR India and/or the Channel that the participant has prior to participating in the Contest, read and understood all the Rules and Regulations of the Contest on www.channelv.in/tnc and has agreed to abide by the same.

General Rules

1. The participant(s) should be citizens of India, residing in India and above 18 years of age to qualify for the Contest.
2. The participant (s) should not have criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the participant(s) from participating in the Contest.
3. Proof of age is a must for the participant and must be submitted to the Channel/ STAR India (i.e., Birth Certificate, 10th Class leaving Certificate/ School certificate/ passport/ an affidavit signed by a magistrate).
4. The participant(s) in whose name the number (from which the message is sent) is registered with a network operator shall be construed to have participated in the Contest. Consequently, the Winner(s) in whose name the number is registered with a network operator shall be entitled to the Prize. If the Winner(s) claims that he has taken the permission from the person whose name the phone number is registered in with a network provider to participate in the Contest, such Winner(s) must produce a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) from the person in whose name the phone number is registered. The Winner(s) must submit with STAR India and/or the Channel a copy of the last two bills issued by the network operator as a proof that the number is registered in the name of the Winner(s) and such other documents that could be furnished as proof that the mobile number is registered in the Winner(s) name.
5. The Channel reserves all rights to make amendments to the existing rules without prior notice or withdraw the Contest without giving prior notice in connection thereto. The viewers shall be solely responsible to check the rules and regulations of this Contest on the website www.channelv.in from time to time.
6. Non-conformance by any participant (s) and/or the Winner(s) of the rules of the Contest will disqualify them from participation or winnings, immediately, as the case may be.
7. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor its employees shall be responsible for any reason whatsoever in connection to the Prize.
8. The Winner(s) of the Contest agrees that he/she shall make himself/herself available from time to time and co-operate with the Channel and/or STAR India and participate in any activity and/or campaign ("Promotional Activity") of any nature whatsoever without any money payable to the Winner(s). Further, the Winner(s) shall at no point of time refuse or disagree to participate in any such Promotional Activity for any reason whatsoever. The Winner(s) agrees that the footage of any nature with regard to the Winner(s) shall vest with STAR India, including but not limited to all intellectual property rights and any other rights for worldwide and in perpetuity.
9. The Winner(s) cannot exchange the Prize for another item or cash equivalent. If the Winner refuses to accept the Prize awarded, the Channel and/or STAR India shall be released from all obligations towards the Winner(s) in connection to the Prize won by the Winner(s).
10. By participating in the Contest, it shall be construed that the participant(s) has agreed that the participant(s) shall hold harmless the Channel, STAR India, its employees, officers or any other person in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by the participant(s), in any manner, whatsoever in connection with the Contest and that the participant(s) has waived all rights to file in person or through any family member or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against the Channel and/or STAR India to claim any damages or reliefs.
11. The Winner agrees that if due to any reason, whatsoever, beyond the control of the Channel and/or STAR India, the Prize and/or anything in connection to the Prize and/or the enjoyment of the Prize becomes ineffective or invalid, the Channel and/or STAR India cannot be held responsible for the same.
12. The Channel and/or STAR India is in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any injury, death, mental trauma caused to the Winner and/or the participant(s) in any manner whatsoever or for any reason whatsoever in connection to the Contest and/or Prize.
13. Employees of the Channel, STAR India, and the members of their immediate family, persons with criminal convictions and persons other than citizens of India are ineligible to enter the Contest.
15. Participation of the participant(s) in the Contest shall be construed that the participant has waived his/her right to dispute any decision(s) made by STAR India and/or the Channel in connection to the Contest and that the participant(s) agrees to all the decision(s) made by STAR India and/or the Channel that all the decision shall be final and binding upon him.
16. STAR India and/or the Channel reserve the right to forfeit the Prize in the event it is found by STAR India and/or the Channel that any information provided by the participant(s) or the Winner(s) is wrong or any misrepresentation is made by the participant(s) or the Winner(s). STAR India or the Channel shall have the right to declare another participant(s) as the Winner of the Contest and transfer the Prize to that person.
17. All participant(s) and the Winner(s) shall do any and all acts and execute any and all documents in such manner and at such location as may be required by the Channel and/or STAR India in its sole discretion to protect, perfect or enforce any of the rights granted or confirmed to STAR India and/or the Channel herein.
18. The participation of the participant(s) in the Contest shall mean that the participant(s) has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the rules including the general rules of the Contest.
19. The participant(s) shall comply with the laws of India.
20. Any and all taxes and/or levies applicable under the laws of India shall be borne by the Winner(s) in relation to the Prize.
21. The terms of this Rules and Regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and in case of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Contest shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by STAR India and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language. All the costs, charges and expenses in connection to the Arbitration shall be solely borne by the participant(s) who has raised the dispute.
22. Subject to rule 21, only the courts in Mumbai shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to decide on any dispute relating to the Contest.

Terms and Conditions for "Lava M30 Danca of the Week Contest" ("Contest")

Following are the Terms and Conditions for "Lava M30 Danca of the Week Contest" ("Contest") which will be held on the show Footloose and as stated hereunder:

Participation Rules:

1. The contest will be based on the non-fiction reality show "LAVA M30 presents [v] Footloose" ("Program") telecast on ‘Channel [V]’ ("Channel").
2. The Contest shall commence from September 17, 2011 at 1900 hours Indian Standard Time ("IST") and shall conclude on October 30, 2011 at 23:59 hours IST ("Period") on the Channel.
3. The Channel shall announce the contest through on-air promos on the Program which will begin from September 17th , 2011 and shall display a weekly question during the Period.
4. To participate in the Contest the viewers ("Participant") must watch the Program on the Channel and answer the question flashed on the screen, for that week. The Participant should send an SMS in the following manner:
"LAVA" followed by <space> followed by the answer with the correct option A/B/C/D to 57827 within the prescribed timelines as states below.
5. The timelines for the Contests are as follows:
(a) For the first week’s question the timelines will remain open from September 17, 2011 1900 hours IST to September 23, 2011 23:59 hours IST
(b) For the second week’s question the timelines will remain open from September 24, 2011 1900 hrs IST to September 30, 2011 23:59 hours IST.
(c) For the third week’s question the timelines will remain open from October 01, 2011 1900 hrs IST to October 07, 2011 23:59 hours IST.
6. All the entries should be sent during the Period of the Contest. Answers sent after the timeline stated in this rules and regulations shall not be considered and shall be null and void.
7. The cost of the SMS shall be solely borne by the Partcipant(s). The cost of each SMS shall be charged by the respective telecom/mobile operators at rate stated below:

8. STAR India (P) Ltd ("STAR India") and/or the Channel shall not be responsible in the event of any network problem and/or the cost of the SMS charged by the mobile operator. Any dispute in connection to the same shall be settled between the subscriber and the mobile operator directly and without involving Star India and/or the Channel.
9. Neither Star India nor the Channel shall be responsible in case of any network problems such as breakdown of machinery, unclear network, disruption in the network and/or the cost of the SMS charged by the network operator. Any dispute in connection to the same shall be settled between the Participants and the network operator without involving Star India or the Channel.
10. In case of telecom and/or network failure and/or website access problem and/or for any other reason whatsoever, Star India reserves the right to change the mechanism or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.
11. All the entries should state all the required information, which have been asked from them.
12. At the end of the Period, Star India and/or the Channel will, by a process of random selection select three (3) winners for each week i.e. total six (6) winners during the Period from among the correct and valid entries received ("Winners"). STAR India and/or the Channel reserves the right to select the Winner(s) of the Contest and such decision shall be final and binding on the Participant(s).
13. STAR India and/or the Channel reserves the right to select the Winner(s) of the Contest and such decision shall be final and binding on the contestant(s).
14. STAR India and/or the Channel reserve the right to disqualify any participant(s) from participating in the Contest without assigning any reason. The decision of STAR India and/or the Channel in this regard shall be final and binding upon the participant(s).
15. The Winner cannot exchange the Prize for another item or cash equivalent. If the Winner refuses to accept the Prize awarded, Star India and/or the Channel shall be released from all obligations towards the Winner in connection to the Prize won by the Winner. Further, after forfeiting the Prize, STAR India and/or the Channel shall be entitled to randomly select and declare another Winner, as it deems fit, and award the Prize, to that Winner.
16. The Winner, shall do any and all acts and execute any and all documents in such manner and at such location as may be required by Star India and/or the Channel in its sole and absolute discretion to protect, perfect or enforce any of the rights granted or confirmed to STAR India and/or the Channel herein.
17. The Winner of the Contest agrees that he/she shall make himself/herself available from time to time and co-operate with Star India and/or the Channel and participate in any activity and/or campaign ("Promotional Activity") of any nature whatsoever without any money payable to the Winner. Further, the Winner shall at no point of time refuse or disagree to participate in any such Promotional Activity for any reason whatsoever. The Winner agrees that the footage of any nature with regard to the Winner shall vest with STAR India, including but not limited to all intellectual property rights and any other rights for worldwide and in perpetuity.
18. STAR India and/or the Channel reserve the right to forfeit the Prize in the event it is found by STAR India and/or the Channel that any information provided by the Contestant(s) and/or the Winner is wrong, fraudulent or any misrepresentation is made by the Contestant(s) and/or the Winner. STAR India or the Channel shall have the right to declare another Contestant(s) as the Winner of the Contest and transfer the Prize to that person.
19. STAR India/Channel will not be responsible or shall be liable for any defect in the Prize, if any.
20. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor their employees have given any guarantee and/or warranty regarding quality, brand, value, durability etc. of the Prize. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor their employees shall be responsible and/or liable for any reason whatsoever in connection thereto.
21. After dispatch of the Prize, during transit, if any loss/damage etc. is caused/incurred, STAR India and/or the Channel will not be liable for any such loss/damage etc.
22. The Winner agrees that if due to any reason, whatsoever, beyond the control of Star India and/or the Channel, the Prize and/or anything in connection to the Prize and/or the enjoyment of the Prize becomes ineffective or invalid, Star India and/or the Channel cannot be held responsible and/or liable for the same.
23. The Winner(s) subject to the terms and conditions stated herein shall win a "LAVA M30 Music Phone" to be sponsored by "Lava" ("Prize")
24. Within 30 days from the close of the Contest, the Winners shall be contacted by the Channel and be informed that they are eligible for the Prize. The call made by the Channel to the Winner(s) shall have instructions on the further process required to be adhered to by the Winner(s). In the event that the Winner(s) is not reachable for a continuous period of 3 (three) days the STAR India and/or the Channel shall at their sole discretion select a new Winner(s) post that period of 5 (five) days.
25. In the event the Winner(s) fails to adhere to the instructions, that Winner’s selection shall be invalidated and the Channel shall not be liable to that Winner(s) in any manner whatsoever and the Channel at its sole discretion shall select another Winner(s).
26. The Prize will be sent to the Winner Via courier, the cost of which shall be borne by STAR India and if the Winner resides in Mumbai, India the Winner has to come and collect the Prize from the address given to him by STAR India and/or the Channel.
27. STAR India and/or the Channel shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever in connection to any disputes with regard to the Prize.
28. By participating in the Contest(s), it shall be construed that the Winner has waived his/her right to raise any dispute with regard to the Contest and/or in any manner whatsoever in connection to the Prize.
29. /All and any incidental costs/taxes direct and/or indirect, in relation to the Prize, shall be borne by the Winner and in no manner whatsoever shall the Channel/STAR India, be responsible for the same.

13. The Winner agrees that if due to any reason, whatsoever, beyond the control of the Channel and/or STAR India, the Prize and/or anything in connection to the Prize and/or the enjoyment of the Prize becomes ineffective or invalid, the Channel and/or STAR India cannot be held responsible for the same.

The Channel and/or STAR India is in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any injury, death, mental trauma caused to the Winner and/or the Participant in any manner whatsoever or for any reason whatsoever in connection to the Contest and/or Prize.

20. The Participant(s) shall comply with the laws of India.

23. Subject to rule 22, only the courts in Mumbai shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to decide on any dispute relating to the Contest.

"[V] Humse Hai Life Online Application" RULES AND REGULATIONS

"[V] Humse hai Life Online Application" ("Application") will be hosted on the Channel [V] India ("Channel") Website as stated hereunder:
Participation Rules:
1. All the Application details shall be displayed on the Channel [v] India website and across different online mediums, which will state the mechanism (manner) in which the viewer(s) can participate.
2. The viewer who is interested in participating in the Application should submit their dedications via the submission form on the Channel website . ("Participant(s)")
3. All the entries should state all the required information, which have been asked from each of the Participant(s).
4. STAR India Private Limited ("Star India") and/or the Channel reserve the right to disqualify any dedication(s) from the Participant(s) appearing on the ‘Wonder Wall’ of the Application without assigning any reason to the Participant(s). The decision of STAR India and/or the Channel in this regard shall be final and binding upon the Participant(s).
5. By participating in the Online Application(s), it shall be construed that the Participant(s) has waived his/her right to raise any dispute with regard to the Application and/or against STAR India/Channel in any manner whatsoever.
6. By participating in the Application, the Participant(s) agrees to abide the Rules and Regulations of the Application as detailed herein. By uploading a picture/video on the Channel website, the Participant(s) certifies that he/she has the right to distribute this picture/video and that it does not violate the Terms of Service.
7. By participating in the Application, the Participant(s) unequivocally warrants and assures STAR India and/or the Channel that:
7.1. The Participant(s) has full right and authority in and to the picture and/or the video and is thus uploading the said picture and/or the video on the Channel website.
7.2. The picture and/or video uploaded by the Participant(s) on the Channel website, is not obscene or blasphemous or defamatory of any event and/or person deceased or alive.
7.3. The picture and/or the video are Participant(s) original work and does not infringe any right (including any copyright therein) of any person/entity in any manner whatsoever.
8. The Participant hereby grants to Star India and/or the Channel, for the entire copyright period an irrevocable royalty free non-exclusive license to display the picture/video uploaded by the Participant on the Channel website.
9. The Participant(s) hereby undertakes to indemnify Star India and the Channel and keep Star India and the Channel at all times fully indemnified from and against any loss, all actions, proceedings, claims, demands, damage, costs (including without prejudice to the generality of this provision legal costs of the Channel and/or Star India etc.), awards and consequences, however arising, directly or indirectly as a result of any breach or non-performance by the Participant(s) warranties, representations or obligations under this Rules and Regulations.

9. The participation of the Participant(s) in the Application shall mean that the Participant(s) has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the rules including the general rules of the Application.
10. The Participant(s) shall comply with the laws of India.
11. The terms of this rules and regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and incase of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Application shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by STAR India and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language. All the costs, charges and expenses in connection to the Arbitration shall be solely borne by the Participant(s) who has raised the dispute.
12. Subject to rule 21, only the courts in Mumbai shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to decide on any dispute relating to the Application.

9. In case of telecom, network failure and/or any other reason, STAR India reserves the right to change the mechanism or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.

Any dispute in connection to the same should be settled directly between the subscriber and the mobile operator without involving STAR India and/or the Channel.
9. In case of telecom, network failure and/or any other reason, STAR India reserves the right to change the mechanism or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.
10. Upon the viewer sending in their answer(s), the number from which the viewer has answered would get registered with the respective network provider.

The Participant(s) and the Winner(s) of the Contest agree that he/she shall hold harmless the Channel, STAR INDIA, their parent, affiliates and subsidiaries, and their respective employees, officers or any other person in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by him/her in any manner, whatsoever, in connection with the Contest and/or the Prize and that the Participant(s) and/or the Winner(s) shall also not file in person and/or through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against sponsor and/or the Channel and/or STAR India or its affiliates to claim any damages or relief's or otherwise.
20. The Channel and/or STAR INDIA are in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any physical injury, death, mental trauma caused to the Participant(s) and/or the Winner(s) in any manner whatsoever, in relation to the Contest and/or Prize.
21. All Participant(s), the Winner(s), shall do any and all acts and execute any and all documents in such manner and at such location as may be required by the Channel and/or STAR India in its sole discretion to protect, perfect or enforce any of the rights granted or confirmed to STAR India and/or the Channel herein.
22. The participation of the Participant(s) in the Contest shall mean that the Participant(s) has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the rules including the general rules of the Contest.
23. The Participant(s)shall comply with the laws of India.
24. The terms of this rules and regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and incase of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Contest shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by STAR India and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language. All the costs, charges and expenses in connection to the Arbitration shall be solely borne by the Participant(s)who has raised the dispute.
25. Subject to rule 24, only the courts in Mumbai shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to decide on any dispute relating to the Contest.





"[V] Rio Contest" RULES AND REGULATIONS "[V] Rio Contest" ("Contest") will be held on Channel [V] ("Channel") as stated hereunder:

Participation Rules:
1. The Contest shall commence from April 3rd 2011 at 06:00 hours and shall conclude on April 11th 2011 at 23:59 hours ("Period") on the Channel.
2. During the Period, contest details shall be displayed on the Channel and across different mediums, online and on-air, which will state the mechanism (manner) in which the contestant(s) have to participate. By answering the question winners chosen by random selection stand a chance to win an all expense trip for 2 to Malaysia or exclusive passes for RIO screening. There will be 1 winner chosen for the prize of the all expense trip for 2 to Malaysia and 50 participants winning 2 passes each for the RIO screening. The viewer(s) desirous of participating in the Contest must answer a simple question by SMS’ing their answer to 57827.
3. The viewer who is interested in participating and qualifying should submit their answers via SMS. (" Participant(s)")
4. All the entries should be sent during the Period of the Contest. Answers sent after the timeline stated in this rules and regulations shall not be considered and shall be null and void. The answers to the question must be sent on or before 23:59 on 11th April following which the contest will be closed.

8. The cost of each SMS shall be charged by the respective mobile operators. Neither STAR India Private Limited ("STAR India") nor the Channel shall be responsible in case of any network problem resulting into delay in receipt of messages by STAR India or for the costs charged by the mobile operator or for any other problem whatsoever. Any dispute in connection to the same should be settled directly between the subscriber and the mobile operator without involving STAR India and/or the Channel.
9. In case of telecom, network failure and/or any other reason, STAR India reserves the right to change the mechanism or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.
10. Upon the viewer sending in their answer(s), the number from which the viewer has answered would get registered with the respective network provider.
9. All the entries should state all the required information, which have been asked from them.
10. The Channel shall select 1 winner for the prize of the all expense trip for 2 to Malaysia and 50 winners for 2 exclusive passes each for RIO screening through a random selection process ("Winner(s)") among the Particpant(s)who have sent the correct answer during the Period for the question.
11. The Channel reserves the rights to decide the Winner of the Contest. STAR India and/or the Channel reserve the right to disqualify any Contestant(s) from participating in the Contest without assigning any reason. The decision of STAR India and/or the Channel in this regard shall be binding upon the contestant(s).
12. The Winner subject to the terms and conditions stated herein shall win an all expense trip for 2 to Malaysia("Prize") and 50 other lucky winners shall win 2 exclusive passes each for Rio screening.
13. The Winner shall be informed/contacted by the Channel and/or STAR India and/or Fox India.
14. STAR India and/or the Channel shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever in connection to any disputes with regard to the Prize.
15. By participating in the Contest(s), it shall be construed that the Winner has waived his/her right to raise any dispute with regard to the Contest and/or in any manner whatsoever in connection to the Prize.
16. All and any incidental costs, taxes direct and/or indirect, in relation to the Prize, shall be borne by the Winner and in no manner whatsoever shall the Channel/STAR India, be responsible for the same.

General Rules
1. The Contestant(s) should be citizens of India, residing in India and above 18 years of age to qualify for the Contest.
2. The Contestant(s) should not have criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Contestant(s) from participating in the Contest.
3. Proof of age is a must for the Contestant and must be submitted to the Channel/ STAR India (i.e., Birth Certificate, 10th Class leaving Certificate/ School certificate/ passport/ an affidavit signed by a magistrate).
4. The Contestant(s) in whose name the number (from which the message is sent) is registered with a network operator shall be construed to have participated in the Contest. Consequently, the Winner(s) in whose name the number is registered with a network operator shall be entitled to the Prize. The Winner(s) must submit with STAR India and/or the Channel a copy of the last two bills issued by the network operator as a proof that the number is registered in the name of the Winner(s) and such other documents that could be furnished as proof that the mobile number is registered in the Winner(s) name.
5. The Channel reserves all rights to make amendments to the existing rules without prior notice or withdraw the Contest without giving prior notice in connection thereto. The viewers shall be solely responsible to check the rules and regulations of this Contest on the website www.channelv.in from time to time.
6. Non-conformance by any Contestant(s) and/or the Winner(s) of the rules of the Contest will disqualify them from participation or winnings, immediately, as the case may be.
7. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor its employees shall be responsible for any reason whatsoever in connection to the Prize.
8. The Winner(s) of the Contest agrees that he/she shall make himself/herself available from time to time and co-operate with the Channel and/or STAR India and participate in any activity and/or campaign ("Promotional Activity") of any nature whatsoever without any money payable to the Winner(s). Further, the Winner shall at no point of time refuse or disagree to participate in any such Promotional Activity for any reason whatsoever. The Winner(s) agrees that the footage of any nature with regard to the Winner(s) shall vest with STAR India, including but not limited to all intellectual property rights and any other rights for worldwide and in perpetuity.
9. The Winner cannot exchange the Prize for another item or cash equivalent. If the Winner refuses to accept the Prize awarded, the Channel and/or STAR India shall be released from all obligations towards the Winner in connection to the Prize won by the Winner.

By participating in the Contest, it shall be construed that the Winner of the Contest has agreed that the Winner shall, at all times, hold harmless the Channel, STAR India, its employees, officers or any other person in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by him/her in any manner, whatsoever, in connection with the Prize and that the Winner shall also not file in person and/or through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against the Channel and/or STAR India to claim any damages or reliefs or otherwise.
