Terms and Conditions

By clicking "I have read and agree to the terms and conditions of Sprite Music Rockers event "Contest" below, which comprises of the rules of the Contest and the general rules (collectively referred to as the "Rules"):

A. Rules of the Contest

1. Participation in the Contest shall be open from _____________________ to____________________ ("Period").

2. To participate in the Contest, the contestants have to log on the url http://www.channelv.in/sprite ("Webpage") on the website www.channelv.in ("Website").

3. The participant ("Local Bands") should enter all the required information which has been asked from him/her while participating in the Contest.

The selection process for the Contest is as follows:

3.1 The Local Bands will be invited to upload their video on the Webpage during the Period. A unique id will be allotted to the Local Bands which they can use to promote their band.

3.2 The Local Bands will garner votes online/mobile during the Period.

3.3 After this stage, Channel [V] and/or Star India Private Limited (referred to as "Channel"), Them Clones, Luke Kenny, Encantada and Bhoomi ("Iconic Bands") and Mirchi Activation (collectively referred to as "Contest Holder") will shortlist the Local Bands within 7 days after the expiry of the Period.

3.4 The shortlisted Local Bands will perform with the Iconic Bands for the selected city (i.e. Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Bangalore).

4. The Contest Holder reserves the right to disqualify any Local Bands from participating further in the Contest without assigning any reason. The decision of the Contest Holder in this regard shall be binding upon the Local Bands.

5. The decision of the Contest Holder shall be final and binding on all the Local Bands and by participating in the Contest, it shall be construed that the Local Bands has waived his/her right to raise any dispute against any decision made by the Contest Holder with regard to shortlisting the Local Bands and/or for any other reason whatsoever.

6. Employees of, the Contest Holder, any other sponsor of the Contest and/or the members of their immediate family and/or persons with criminal convictions are ineligible to enter the Contest.

B. General Rules

1. The team members of the Local Bands should be a citizen of India and should be above 18 years of age.

2. The Local Bands agrees and acknowledges that it has the necessary rights, consents, permissions and shall be solely and entirely responsible for any data, text, information, screen names, graphics, photos, audio and video clips ("Information") that he/she may submit, post or display on its unique id in the Webpage.

3. The Local Bands agrees that he/she shall not submit any Information that:

(i) create or submit unwanted e-mail ("Spam") to the Website;
(ii) transmit any worms or viruses or any code of destructive nature on the Website;
(iii) abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other users of the Webpage.; and
(iv) violate any local, state, and national and international laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations that are applicable.

4. The Local Bands understand and acknowledge that the Channel may, in its sole and unfettered discretion, edit, remove or delete the Information that the Local Bands may post or submit.

5. By submitting the Information, the Local Bands hereby waive all privacy rights and/or any other rights including but not limited to proprietary rights, copyrights, etc and/or any privacy expectations that the Local Bands will have with respect to the use of the Information furnished by Local Bands on the Website. The Local Bands hereby waive any legal or equitable rights or remedies the Local Bands may have against the Channel with respect thereto.

6. The Local Bands of the Contest agrees that he/she shall hold harmless Channel, its employees, officers or any other person in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by him/her in any manner, whatsoever, in connection with the Contest and that the Local Bands, shall also not file in person and/or through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against Channel to claim any damages or relief's or otherwise.

7. The Local Bands agrees that the Channel and its officers, directors, affiliates and representatives will not be liable and/or responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, arising from, relating to or connected with:

(i) the use or inability to use the Webpage and the Website;
(ii) any other matter arising from, relating to or connected with the Webpage and the Website and/or these Rules .

8. The participation of the Local Bands in the Contest shall mean that the Local Bands has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the Rules. Non-conformance by any Local Bands of the Rules will disqualify him/her from participation immediately.

9. The Local Bands agree to abide and fulfill any other terms and conditions that the Channel may set out.

10. The Rules shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of India and the courts of Mumbai, India shall have the exclusive jurisdiction.
