Elections in Mumbai just went by. And we hope all of you who were the legal age went ahead and voted. This is the part where you can say ‘Yes, I did my bit’. And we are proud of you.

Voting is bloody cool. Here are a few of the reasons why:

1. You are totally allowed to whine about how the government sucks and how it doesn’t do a thing for us because you took part in the democratic process.
2. You meet a lot of interesting people from all walks of life waiting in line. It’s an experience.
3. You are part of something big, something important, and something which may make a difference. Or Not.
4. You get a Voter ID card. Handy Age verification, right?
5. You are allowed to feel self-righteous and pompous for at least a week after, you have earned it.

And finally, most importantly……

You have a valid reason to show everyone the finger. Cheap thrills, indeed.

So, go ahead and Vote. Vote every opportunity you get. If there aren’t any elections, Make up some! You may not think it’s worth it, but every vote counts. Your little way of making your country a better place based on your opinions and your choice. Voice your opinions and share the word with your friends. Comment on/Share this post.
