The Indian Cricket team lost the test series to Australia; losing the 3rd straight test by an Innings and 37 runs! In just two and a half days! In a team comprising of Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman! It’s the 7th consecutive overseas defeat.

It’s not exactly a surprise. Our batsmen have been facing fast bowling like it’s not balls but hand grenades being hurled at them. Our bowlers have been sleepwalking (Maybe because they think it’s only a bad dream) and the Australians attitude thus far has been “Mercy!! Interesting word! What does that even mean?”

So, what went wrong? Why can’t we suddenly produce any good cricket in overseas conditions? Has MS Dhoni lost his Midas touch? Has Sachin suddenly decided “Meh, centuries are overrated, 99 is enough” Should we be blaming the IPL? [v] don’t know, [v] are not the experts. But loosing the last two tests by an innings, speaks for itself.

It’s easy for us to be armchair experts and call the team names. But is it too much to expect from a team that’s ranked 2nd in Test Cricket? Can’t the team at least put up a fight? [v] mean, if not to save their own dignity at least save the pride of the country! Give us hope. Give us commitment. Give us a reason to watch!
