The ill skillz of an 18 year old rapper from Mohali, Punjab

[v] recently got this random email from a kid who calls himself Frank. Well, his real name is Faryaad Singh Virk, and he wanted us to check out his music, and that is just what [v] did. So let’s see what this one man band has to offer...

The first time I heard one of Frank’s songs, it seemed pretty ok. Then I heard the next one, and then another. I was pretty impressed at the end, as the songs do take a while to grow on you. They’re pretty down tempo, with some nice ambient stuff going on in the background. The music is pretty old school, and different from the rap/hip-hop that’s being played at popular places today.

The production of the tracks aren't all that great either, but then I must mention that this kid has done everything on his own, without any support from his parents whatsoever. Taking that into consideration, I think he’s done a pretty good job. And hey, the kids just 18 and has a long way to go. Here’s wishing him all the best, cos [v] are sure he’s gonna kick some a*s!!!
